SGT
This five minute guide takes you from account creation to teeing off in your first SGT tournament.
Account Creation
Register for a new SGT account at https://simulatorgolftour.com/register. Usernames must be between 2 and 64 characters long and only contain numbers, letters or underscore. This will be the name displayed on the SGT website. If the username and email are not already associated with an SGT account, an email will be sent to the email provided to verify your email and activate your SGT account.
Login
After verifying your email, log into SGT by clicking the user icon in the top right of any SGT page and clicking LOGIN or visiting https://simulatorgolftour.com/login.
Provide the username or email and password supplied at registration to log into SGT. Check the remember me box to stay logged in on this device for future visits.
Subscription
A basic subscription is required to play in SGT tour events. To start your subscription, navigate to your profile page by clicking the user icon in the top right of any SGT page and clicking MY PROFILE.
Your SGT subscription expiration dates are displayed under your user profile picture near the top of your profile page. Click the RENEW SUBSCRIPTION button to view the subscription options.
Select the membership type, basic or pro. A pro account is only required if you wish to play in user managed leagues or run your own league. You can always add pro at a later date for a pro-rated amount. Click CHECKOUT to proceed to payment options and finalize the subscription process.
Tour and Tournament Registration
After paying for your SGT subscription, you will need to register for a tour and your first event. Visit https://simulatorgolftour.com/tours-explained to read about each tour and eligibility restrictions. After deciding on which tour(s) to compete in, navigate to the tour from the TOURS dropdown menu at the top of any SGT page.
Register for your first event by clicking the REGISTER button on the active event for the tour. After successful registration, the register button will be replaced by REGISTERED, indicating that you are registered for that event.
You will be automatically registered for future events in that tour as they are created. To stop automatic registration you can leave the tour by clicking the LEAVE TOUR button on the tour homepage.
Connecting SGT and GSPro
After registering for your first event, head back to your profile page and click the CONNECT TO GSPRO button. A dialog will be displayed revealing your SGT ID and username. Use the copy to copy your username and ID into the players tab in GSPro.
Your SGT username must be entered exactly as displayed, including case, for scores to be reported correctly from GSPro to SGT.
Play the Tournament
After entering your SGT username and ID in the players tab, head back to the main menu of GSPro. Select the SIM GOLF TOURNAMENTS and choose the player you just created from the dropdown menu. Download the course if required, otherwise click PLAY to start!
Verify Connection
After playing one hole, head to the SGT website to verify shot and score data are being passed correctly from GSPro to SGT. From the tour homepage that you selected, click on the trophy icon for the event you are playing.
If you entered your username and ID properly, your username will be displayed on the leaderboard with your score through hole 1. If you are not listed you either did not have internet connection or did not enter your username and ID exactly as displayed on your SGT profile page.
